Volpe Express Selects DDC FPO as Freight Process Outsourcing Provider for Billing Functions


Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) July 23, 2014

Volpe Express, an elite less-than-truckload (LTL) and truckload (TL) carrier, has selected DDC FPO, the world leader in freight process outsourcing, as its back office transformation partner to streamline its billing functions for enhanced time and cost efficiencies and overall more strategic business process management.

Volpe Express provides its customers with superior pickup and delivery service. As part of the five-year contract, DDC FPO, a division of the business process outsourcing (BPO) worldwide network The DDC Group, will leverage its global footprint, industry expertise and cutting-edge technologies to dedicate an LTL-trained, scalable team solely to delivering around-the-clock bill entry processing and reporting services to Volpe over a secure cloud-based portal.

Volpe, currently in the midst of upgrading its entire IT and voice infrastructures, as well as its user interfaces, has worked with DDC FPO to build a separate, secure web page. This web page will allow DDC FPO billers to seamlessly log in and efficiently conduct high-quality bill entry processing and reporting.

“It’s working extremely well,” said Wendi Fitzsimmons, Project Manager for Volpe overseeing the DDC FPO program.

“Typically in a system and department transition such as this, we would expect several bumps in the road. On the contrary, there has been very little to fix, and we are quite pleased with the results,” Fitzsimmons explained.

Utilizing a web page is new for Volpe, but it is also a slight variation from DDC’s regular approach to remote bill entry.

“They understood the risks and agreed to try it out. Its worked wonderfully, and we are very happy with DDCs cooperation,” she added. “In fact, the rollout was initially set to last until the end of August. Instead, it will actually be completed before the end of July.”

Volpe, which has grown approximately 20% in new business since its relationship with DDC FPO began, approached the vendor on a referral from partner Roadrunner Transportation Systems, another client of DDC. “After we saw the pricing, it was something we just had to do,” said Fitzsimmons. “We knew it would be a phenomenal savings for the company.”

Prior to selecting DDC, Volpe’s billing system was paper-driven as well as time-, labor- and dollar-consuming. According to Fitzsimmons, quality issues were rampant, causing a domino effect more detrimental than simply the initial cost issue.

Volpe is also in the process of rolling out a new EOBR application, which tracks hours of service for the drivers, fuel use and idle time, and improves overall fleet performance.

Northern Virginia Real Estate Company Pasquali Realty Group Announces Median Sale Price Increased in the Region in June 2014

According to the latest market reports compiled from data from residential real estate transactions throughout the region, the Northern Virginia real estate market experienced some positive trends in June. Homes are selling quickly throughout the area, and median sale prices have increased in some parts of the region. The Northern Virginia market includes the city of Alexandria, and Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties.

The Northern Virginia region saw median sale prices increase in some areas compared to the same month in 2013. Arlington County saw a large increase in median sale price of 10 percent, and Fairfax County experienced a 1 percent increase. Loudoun and Prince William counties each saw small decreases of 2 percent, while Alexandria City experienced a 3 percent decrease.

Homes are continuing to sell rapidly throughout Northern Virginia, according to June data. In Arlington County, the average days on market (DOM) was just 20 days, followed closely by Fairfax County at 23 days. Prince William County saw a DOM of 30 days, Loudoun County experienced an average of 31 days and Alexandria City saw a DOM of 32 days.

The number of units sold in the Northern Virginia region decreased in all areas compared to the same month in 2013. Decreases ranged from 5 percent to 18 percent. Additionally, inventory increased by 15 percent to 41 percent in all areas of Northern Virginia.

Arizona School of Real Estate & Business Offers New Seminar 50 Ways to Lose a Listing as in SOLD

The inventory of homes for sale in Phoenix is up over a 100% over last year, which is causing agents to seek new and creative ways to bring buyers into their listings. In response to the current need to attract more buyers, the Arizona School of Real Estate & Business is offering for the seminar titled 50 Ways to Lose a Listing as in SOLD. Top agents from Arizona will take the stage to share their strategies and secrets that they have found effective in securing buyers to purchase their listings.

The seminar will feature nine well-known Arizona real estate professionals who will offer advice to real estate agents, current home sellers and people who may have a home to sell in the near future. The featured speakers are Joann and Joseph Callaway, P.R. Randy Cooney, Judy Houston, Russell Shaw, John Wake, Mark Hutchins, Linda Rehwalt and Brian North.

The Board of Directors of Allied InfoSecurity, Inc., has announced that Michael L. McKinley has been appointed President & Chief Executive Officer. In addition, the Board announced that Patty Pezely has been appointed Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Allied InfoSecurity was founded in 2006, with Mr. McKinley, Ms. Pezely, and Mr. Teufel among the team of co-founders. Mr. Teufel, who had served as President and CEO for the past four years, has retired from active employment. He looks forward to continuing in his role as Chairman.

Mr. McKinley, in his new capacity, will provide the strategic leadership to fuel the companys growth and innovation initiatives, and also serves as the companys senior financial officer. His diverse career spans security, information technology, and finance in both the private sector and in government.

Prior to founding Allied InfoSecurity, Mr. McKinley served in several corporate financial management roles with the Campbell Soup Company. He started his career as a military intelligence officer, serving in numerous overseas and domestic assignments and culminating in a two-year Pentagon assignment defining and implementing Defensive Information Warfare Doctrine and Strategy.

A distinguished graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Mr. McKinley also holds an MA in Public Management from the University of Maryland and was a Fulbright Scholar in Germany.

Ms. Pezely, as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for overseeing the firms day-to-day consulting operations, staffing, and product development.

As a seasoned information security leader and risk-management practitioner holding numerous highly-regarded industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC), Ms. Pezely brings to the table over 25 years of relevant industry experience. She is a recognized expert in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective information security frameworks through appropriate, risk-based policies, procedures and practices.

Prior to founding Allied InfoSecurity, Ms. Pezely was a founding member of the Professional Services IT Security Practice at SunGard, Chief Security Officer at Towers Perrin, and Director of Information Risk Management at Fleet Credit Card Services.

Ms. Pezely holds a BS in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, from LaSalle University.
